Riggs Gains in Points
Following Bristol Run

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Scott Riggs finished 27th in the Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway Saturday night and in doing so moved to 34th place in the owner’s points standings.

Riggs started the race 38th in the No. 66 State Water Heaters Chevrolet and battled a loose handling condition for the majority of the race.

“The car was pretty evil tonight, especially for the first half of the race,” Riggs said. “We made some gains on the handling later on, but by then our track position kept us from moving up through the field.

“It was important to stay clean and finish he race,” he said. “We accomplished that and were able to move up a spot in the owner’s points. There were definitely some positives to take away from this race.”

Riggs and the No. 66 team next head to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., for Sunday night’s Pepsi 500.
